The International Genetically Engineered Machine competition (iGEM), established by MIT in 2003, is the premiere undergraduate Synthetic Biology competition.
Student teams are working at their own projects, and then compete for their ideas and realization. The skills are trained in laboratories and teams.
iGEM Team Tsinghua-A was established by Bioinformatics Division in 2011. It got Bronze Medal in 2011, Silver Medal in 2012, Gold Medal in 2013, and the admissions for the World Championship Jamboree as well.
